Spring 2018 Developmental Composition

Write for 15 minutes on the topic you selected.  Don't worry about grammar and punctuation.  Just write whatever your mind thinks of on that topic.

A summary is a short statement that gives the main information without giving all the details.  Write a summary of the model paragraph on page 69. There are 3 keys to writing a summary. 1. Include the topic sentence and the main points.  Leave out unimportant details. 2.  Use your own words as much as possible.  Do NOT copy sentences from the original. 3.  Do NOT add any ideas that are not in the original.  Do NOT give your opinion. 

Choose one of the topics and write a blog about it.  Focus on writing compound sentences.  Try to use the coordinating conjunctions and, but, so , and or at least one time each.  Also, be sure to use time-order signals to show the order of what happened. Topics: retell a short folktale from your home culture that teaches an important lesson retell one of your favorite childhood stories retell the plot of the best movie that you have seen recently

        My sister is one of singnificant peson in my life. Her name's Cresentia. She is smart and wise. She always got a good score in her class. She finished her bachelor 4 years. She is my innovator because he always push me to study hard,work hard, and always pray. She told me educaition is important we as a women must be educated, so that the other people can't dissmissive us, especially men. She is my leader. We always spent our weekend together to beautfy our bedroom.

Write about a significant person in your life.  Who is this person? What makes this person significant? How has this person affected and influenced your life? Try to use three vocabulary words from chapter one in your blog. 

Abdullah Almunaye January 27,2018 Composition My name is Abdullah and I am from kuwait. I was born in 11 January 2000 in Kuwait. I have one brother, he is younger than me in one year and his name is Hamad. Since I was a child I always had that one dream is to be an engineer and study in the United states. I worked hard in high school so I can achieve my dream and travel to the United States. I successfully graduated with high grades which helped me to finally travel abroad to continue my dream and now my dream that I always wished for has started to become true. I study in California States in the Fullerton University, It is only the start because I am studying now the American language program. By the upcoming year my plans is to transfer to the University in fall of 2018 to start my engineering course. I am so excited to study and learn about engineer.
